Bollywood star homes

Bandra is not called the queen of Mumbai's suburbs for nothing. It is where some of Bollywood's biggest stars live.

Shah Rukh Khan's home Mannat, which faces the Bandra seafront, is an obvious tourist spot. A sprawling bungalow, once owned by wealthy Parsis, Mannat is a heritage building. Buildings in this category are deemed important to the townscape and cannot be demolished. Shah Rukh lives here with wife Gauri, their two children and SRK's sister. The superstar is currently constructing a multi-storey building behind his home (seen behind Mannat in the photograph). Some reports suggest the building will house offices for SRK and close friends Karan Johar and Farah Khan.

Some buildings away from Mannat is Galaxy Apartments, where Salman Khan stays. Salman, who obviously doesn't care for bungalows and stuff, lives here with his parents Salim and Salma Khan, little sister Arpita, his youngest brother actor Sohail Khan, Sohail's wife designer Seema Khan and their son. Another brother actor Arbaaz Khan and his glamorous model wife Malaika Arora-Khan live in Khar, a suburb close to Bandra. Sister Alvira and her actor hubby Atull Agnihotri also stay close by.

On the avenue between Salman and Shah Rukh Khan's homes lives the mysterious Rekha. Her bungalow is completely covered with bamboo, and it is impossible to see the house from outside.
In one interview, the actress said she preferred the barricaded look for security reasons because she lived alone.

Aishwarya Rai occupies the 12th floor of Lamar, a building near Bandra's famous Mount Mary church. Strangely, she is not the building's best-known resident. That distinction belongs to a certain S R Tendulkar, currently the most famous batsman on the third rock from the sun.
Ash was brought up in Khar, a suburb close to Bandra, and went to the Arya Vidya Mandir school in Bandra, where she was, we hear, a bright head girl.

Like Salman Khan, Aamir Khan too is a native of Bandra. He grew up in the suburb with his three siblings and cousin Mansoor Khan, who has given up directing movies like Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak to live quietly in south India. Aamir's building Bella Vista Apartments is located deep within a housing colony and it is impossible to see it from the road. This window is in fact all one can see of his first floor apartment, as seen through the back entrance of a neighbouring building.
Aamir and wife Kiran Rao live here. Younger brother Faisal Khan stays in the adjoining building, other siblings and cousins live down the road.

John Abraham moved to Bandra recently. John grew up in Andheri, three stations down the Western Railway line from Bandra, before success drew him to this building.

Could Mandira bedi become any hotter than she already is? I never thought so, until I came across these maxim magazine amazing stills.

She has shed all the excess weight and has turned into this slim and trim bomb. Just look at how slim and trim this lady has become. Isn’t it just amazing? This siren is really destined to go far. Maybe a second stint in the Bollywood movie land?

I certainly hope so. She has really beautiful, devilish eyes that could mesmerize any man. She also has no problems displaying her assets in appropriately revealing outfits in photo shoots as well as in public. Three cheers from my side for this wonderful woman.

Since the next cricket world cup is pretty far off, 4 years to be exact, I wonder if I would see her again. I hope I do.

Aishwarys has just married Bollywood superstar Abhsihek bachchan. Their wedding ceremony was held at "Pratiksha", the Bachchan residence at Mumbai, India.

Abhishek, I must say, is a lucky man. Lets see what happens to this wedding. Will it be a Hit like the Amitabh - Jaya Bachchan marriage, or fail like the many celebrity weddings. Keeping my fingers crossed

Hrithik Roshan - Top Bollywood Hero

Hrithik ROshan, The present sensation in Bollywood (Indian Hindi Film Industry). His Greek God looks, slim n trim muscular physique, decent acting skills, and great dance moves has made him a rollicking hit with the audience. Especially, the female fans.

He has recently given two blockbuster hits with Dhoom-2, and Krrish. Even though in Dhoom-2 he co-starred with Abhishek Bachchan, the movie has been regarded a block buster hit mainly due to this dynamic hero.

Career
Hrithik’s first movie role was as a child artist when he was six years old in the 1980 movie Aasha, when he appeared in a dance sequence as an extra. He went on to appear in Aap Ki Deewane (1980) and Bhagwan Dada (1986). He then became an assistant director for his father’s films Karan Arjun (1995) and Koyla (1997).
He made his debut as a leading man in the 2000 film Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai opposite another debutante actress Amisha Patel. The film was directed by his father and proved to be very successful at the box office: It was the highest grossing film of 2000 and winner of the Filmfare Best Movie Award. Hrithik’s performance earned him the Filmfare Best Debut Award and the Filmfare Best Actor Award. That same year, Hrithik also starred in Fiza and Mission Kashmir which were only moderately successful at the box office.As Child artist in Bhagwan Dada (1986)In 2001, Hrithik starred in Yaadein which was a failure at the box office and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham which did extremely well at the box office, becoming the second-highest grossing film of 2001.
He had a bad year in 2002 when all three of his releases - Mujhse Dosti Karoge!, Na Tum Jaano Na Hum, Aap Mujhe Achche Lagne Lage - failed to make an impact the box office and were declared flops.
In 2003, his career was back on track with Koi Mil Gaya, which Hrithik’s father Rakesh directed. It was the highest grosser of the year. It won many Filmfare Awards, including another Filmfare Best Actor Award for Hrithik.
He only had only one release in 2004, Lakshya, directed by Farhan Akhtar. Lakshya did not do as well at the box office as expected but critics called it his most impressive performance so far.
Hrithik took a two-year break from acting before resurfacing with the superhero film Krrish which released in June 2006. Krrish has been a major box office success.
His most recent release is Dhoom 2, a sequel to the 2004 hit Dhoom, in which he played a negative role (a villain) for the first time. The film released on November 24, 2006 and is the biggest raw grosser in Bollywood history.
His forthcoming films are Jodha-Akbar ,Sashank, Kismat Talkies, Delhi 6 which are scheduled release in 2007.

Aishwarya and Abhishek set to wed this friday - 20th April 07

Aishwarya Rai will wear a traditional hand-embroidered sari with intricate goldwork on her wedding day, the actress' favorite designer said Tuesday.


Rai, a former Miss World, will marry actor Abhishek Bachchan on Friday. Bachchan, 31, comes from a famous Bollywood family his father, Amitabh, and mother, Jaya, are among India's best known actors.
A red-and-blue air-conditioned tent with huge mirrors was being readied in a garden adjoining the Bachchan's suburban family home for what is billed as India's "wedding of the year."

Bachchan and Rai, 33, became engaged in a private ceremony in January. Family friends have asked the media to respect the families' wish for privacy.


Designer Neeta Lulla said she created the sari and a red-and-gold embroidered flowing skirt and cropped blouse for Rai to wear at a mehendi ceremony Wednesday. In Indian weddings, mehendi, or henna, is applied in elaborate tattoos on the bride's hands and legs.


Lulla told Mumbai-based DNA newspaper that while she has designed some of Rai's outfits, the actress would also wear a sari created by famous Indian designers Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla.


Both Rai and Bachchan have been practicing a dance routine they plan to perform before a group of relatives and friends during a musical ceremony Thursday, the daily newspaper said. Bollywood heartthrob Hrithik Roshan is expected to entertain guests.


In India, it is common for the couple and their families to perform choreographed dance routines during pre-wedding ceremonies.


Bachchan and Rai have appeared together in several films.

In their latest hit movie, "Guru," Rai plays the supporting wife to Bachchan, who portrays a man from a small Indian village who strives to become a top industrialist. The film is based on the life of Dhirubhai Ambani, founder of Reliance Industries, one of India's top conglomerates.

Richard Gere kisses SHilpa Shetty in Public

Our very own SHilpa SHetty has quite a fan following now in India as well as abroad. Even the famous Hollywood actor Richard Gere now seems to be a fan.



Richard Gere and SHilpa SHetty were chief guests at am AIDS awareness program in New Delhi. Shilpa first pulled Richard onto the stage by holding his hand and never letting it go. Then after she said a few words into the microphone, Richard Gere caught hold of her and gave her a big hug and without letting her go started kissing her all over her face.

This was in front of the whole public consisting mainly of truck drivers. I am sure they must have enjoyed every moment of it.

Maybe the couple was practically displaying the fact that AIDS cannot be transmitted by hugging and kissing.

Anyway this is India, and I am sure many people will start taking out morchas and demanding that the couple apologize. I am sure many lawyers may be smacking their lips and preparing all kinds of civil suits.

In my humble opinion, I think Richard Gere went over board. Even though SHilpa SHetty is trying to defend him I am sure, in her heart she herself was quite shocked with Richard's behaviorm.

Anyways Richard seems a good man and is doing a lot to promote AIDS awareness in India. Maybe this little kissing incedent should be forgotten for the greater good.

Has Britney spears gone crazy?

Britney Spears seems to have really gone crazy lately. She recently shaved off her blonde locks and has been going to bollywood parties without her underwear



Her manager , Larry Rudolph got the pop singer into rehabilitaion. Spears left Promises Rehab Centre in Malibu last month after a month-long stay for unspecified problems.

And it seems she has put her recent troubles behind as , as she is working on her new albumwoth Pharrel Williams and Ne-Yo

Seems her break up and impending divorce with her hubby Kevin Federline has totally unhinged this - one time favorite Hollywood Icon



Spears' singing career has remained virtually dormant since her marriage to Federline. She shot to fame as a teenager in 1999 and sold an estimated 70 million records. Her last album of new material, "In the Zone," was released in 2003.
